Having seen that brooch up close and personal I can testify to the fact that it's more than nice, it's gorgeous! Still living life on the edge as a trainee pyromaniac then? My tags arrived today and Roy loves them too!
Oh Sue that looks so much fun and I'm sure only good shiny things can come out of a tin of Quality Street. Perfect alchemy.
If you got the same kind of shimmers and irridescence that we got with ceramic raku, then I am sure those enamelled pieces were gorgeously beautiful. Would have loved to be there, to have a go myself! Looks lovely.
Wow- I had no idea there was such a thing as raku enamel; how exciting! The results are even more exciting, and the brooch is exquisite! It makes me long for the days of throwing clay objects into trash cans and slamming on the lid; it also makes me want to learn enameling. Ah, maybe some day...
